News from the Chinese Church in Amsterdam:

Our summer camp was like a dream come true. 50 persons took part. We did not
have any vacancy. More than half were non-believers. Before they came, some
feared that they would be bored. They wondered if they had the option to
leave early. Yet, not one left early! They all loved it. So did the
believers. They all found the messages relevant. They learned a lot from it.
They enjoyed the programs. Everyone felt the joy of being a part of the
family of God. We sensed that God was blessing the camp all that time. We
thanked God for providing seven workers (from Cornerstone CAC, Toronto) for
ministry to our young people. They worked hard day and night to help the
local people know Jesus. The campers deeply apprec! iated all our workers.
On their own initiative, they invited the workers to supper after the camp.
Almost every camper came to the restaurant to show their appreciation.
Three male teenagers prayed to receive Jesus. Two young adults were close to
making that decision. Several started to consider Christianity. God used the
camp to exert a good impact on all campers.
After the camp, we went to London for four days. Shortly after we arrived
home last night, one of the teenagers (who prayed to receive Jesus) called.
He and his two friends wanted to see us today. They wanted to learn how to
read the Bible! We had a great time with them.
Please pray that we and the other believers would follow-up the wonderful
break-through that God gave us. We now know quite a number of people who are
willing to welcome us and consider our message.

"There was a rainbow around the throne,
in appearance like an emerald."
Rev. 4:3
The rainbow indicates that this precious stone reflects more than one color.
It is like the diversity of peoples within "our" region.
Let it be our desire to see all these peoples together may shine as a rainbow,
a colorful emerald, around the throne of God, with just one desire: to magnify our Creator and Savior!
